The emotions

Our working method starts with listening to our clients, we need to know what their wishes and priorities are in relation to the house they would like to find.

We need to understand where they are at and how ready they are to make such an important decision.

This moment is very important because we will define what the client’s ideal house will be, both materially and emotionally. It is true that it is important to establish the type of property (flat, detached house…) number of bedrooms or bathrooms, type of kitchen, with or without swimming pool, architectural style (traditional, minimalist… ……).

However, the most important element that a house must fulfil, before buying it, is the emotional one.

We have clients who were looking for a second home that would serve as a family meeting point, others who wanted a second home that would allow them to telecommute, parents who want to move their home to Mallorca to start from scratch and start a family, artists who want their home in Mallorca to be a source of inspiration, their workshop and exhibition centre, families who have brought their children to study and improve their skills in a sport and decide to move their home to Mallorca… . We have also had clients who want to move their home to Mallorca to start from scratch and start a family.

Every person and every family has certain desires and we try to make decisions through a conscious evaluation of what we see or touch; however, what we do not see, i.e, our emotions, will also have a great weight in our decisions.

Science has proved that a large part of the evaluations we make are not conscious. It has to do with a non-conscious evaluation. According to cognitive neuroscience, we are aware of only about 5% of our mental processing.

Meaning, most of our decisions, actions, emotions and our behaviour depend on 95% of the brain activity that goes beyond our awareness.

In HOUSETROPIA we call it: sensations, feeling.

What determines our sensations or feeling? Our lifestyle, our desires, our goals, our values.

One of the reasons why clients hire us is because they have felt overwhelmed and dissatisfied when they went to a traditional real estate agency, because the truth is that they have not been looking for the house they really wanted but instead have only been offered properties from their catalogue. On many other occasions clients come to us because they are not clear about the exact location where they would like to have their home. They are afraid of making a mistake.

At HOUSETROPIA we are very conscious of the fact that we must proceed with the search for the ideal home for each of our clients by being very clear about their lifestyle and their deepest values and desires.

This is the only way to guarantee that, once we have made the selection of properties for the client, and proceed to visit them, they will feel the emotion of knowing that one of these properties is where they will feel everything they desire.

This method of working requires a lot of dedication and a personal relationship with each client, from this first interview to the moment of signing the deed of sale at the notary’s office. Our clients have a unique interlocutor in HOUSETROPIA because in addition to being Real Estate Personal Shopper in Mallorca and belong to the Asociación Española de Personal Shopper Inmobiliario (AEPSI), we are lawyers, experts in real estate law with more than 45 years of experience.
